Cinnamon-Spiced Dutch Baby Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tbsp salted butter, divided
  • 5 eggs
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp eggnog liquor
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Place a cast-iron pan in the oven.
  3. Melt 2 tbsp of the salted butter. In a blender, add all ingredients, plus the melted butter and blend until fully mixed, about 20 seconds.
  4. Carefully remove cast-iron skillet from the oven with oven mitts. Place the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the pan and swirl it around until melted.
  5. Pour all of the batter into the skillet and place back in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes until the Dutch baby edges have risen up.
  6. Remove from oven and serve immediately with whipped cream, maple syrup, and cinnamon.
