I recently purchased the 8" and 12" hard anodized skillets to replace my older one's that I had for years as they were starting to have the non-stick finish coming off. I was a little surprised to find they are not as thick/heavy as my original skillets and the handles do get a little warm during cooking. My original purchase was a set which had the silicone handles so of course the handles never got hot. I also purchased some back up skillets in the past, 10" and 12" from Bed Bath and Beyond with metal handles and the handles never heated up. I will still cook with them to see how they are but would love to see the separate skillets offered with the silicone handles. It just seems the skillets are just not made with the same material as my original purchase.

False 12in laim, uneven cooking, too thin
Actual 12in pans- including older Calphalon pans I own- measure 13in outside diameter at least. This "12in" pan is actually 10in, measuring 12in outside diameter. It's cheap feeling, lightweight and flimsy. Because of the thin material it doesn't have enough thermal mass to cook evenly.
