We do tacos a lot, and the hot oil for frying tortillas was taking its toll on that pan. So I decided to get a new one for anything but tortillas. This is the one I selected due to its improved non stick coating and being dishwasher safe. I also like having the protected handle. So, I received it, washed it up, and proceeded to use it. The pan is good except for the balance. We have to light our stove with a match, so the pan has to be off the burner for a couple of minutes. This pan tips towards the handle side no matter what I put in it. When I use it on the stove top, I have to put it way off center to keep it from tipping everything out. And on top of everything else, it's now on sale for about half of what I paid for it. I sent an email to Calphalon requesting a refund of the difference and also a new pan. Never even got an acknowledgement. This is starting to put this company way down on my "favorites" list. I would really appreciate someone contacting me about this.

If you can believe it, the pan only discolored a little and didn’t warp it at all. But I tossed it just to be safe and bought the same one again. Very durable Cooks and heats pretty evenly

The handle is too heavy and causes the pan to tilt until I add enough weight to keep it level. I have to prop the handle with something to keep the cooking oil from running to the edge of the pan while it’s heating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cris C from HANDLE WAY TO HEAVY MAKES THE PAN TILT I love all Calphalon products (we own about 10 pots/pans). This one however is a big disappointment. The surface is great but the handle is way to heavy and it tilts the pan so bad that you can't even crack two eggs in it without all running toward the handle. I have a Viking stove with large burners and it falls right between the prongs no matter how I aim it. Even when placed on the counter the bottom of the pan lifts slightly off the surface under the weight of the pan handle. It needs more (counter) weight in the pan portion to stabilize. Too bad. it's so frustrating I don't even want to use it. I had a Kitchen Aid before that was heavy, flat bottom and great to work with but I bought into the Calphalon name and our experience with everything else Calphalon we own and this time was a big flop. I wish I could return it or swap it for a heavier version if there is one.

I have had Calphalon pans in the past and have worn them out , but I will NEVER buy another one because of their service. The pan came warped and they won't take care of the problem. I gave it a 1 because there wasn't a lower number.

Comes with a glass cover and has an extra grab handle for easier lifting. Easy to clean and even has a hole so I can hang it for storage. I'm happy!
