Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not For Cooking Pasta! If you intend to use this pot for pasta think again about purchasing it. The pot itself is too shallow to hold enough water to cook the pasta properly and it will overflow all the time. Beyond that, the colander shows signs of rust. Doesn't wash well in the dishwasher (I have a brand new Bosch, top of the line that cleans superbly) and the surface shows marks. In all--hate everything about this cookware. Waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Calphalon Yes you can cheap out and buy the knock offs to save money, the look a likes, but if you want what a chef uses, just buy the Calphalon. There is a reason they are the best. Pick up this pot and feel the weight and then pick up any "other" and then decide for yourself. When I done with this set, in other words gone and buried, my kids will fight over who gets it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 8 Quart Multi-Pot; downsize with optional inserts Excellent performance and ease of use. It is lighter construction so it transfers the BTU's and heats up really fast which is important for it's intended use. Two different size inserts make it adaptable to different ingrJerredients. If I had a suggestion it would be to produce a 5 quart version as well, or 'add-on accessories" for one of the 5 quart or 6 quart items, maybe one with a pour spout. Why? The 8 quart is ideal for the family of 5, or family of 4 - but way too big after the children moved on to college and life. The 2 of us could make good use of a smaller volume vessel. Just make an accessory offer - same as is done with the 2 lids/covers in 12" and 10".

Have used it to boil my noodles for pasta and it's so easy to clean up the pans. It's also easy to use and strain the water out. Next is to see how well it steams vegetables are family loves steamed broccoli.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Quality Cookware Calphalon Premier Hard-Anodized Nonstick 8-quart Multi Pot & Lid is such a high quality pot. I have been using it non stop for weeks. It steams veggies, cooks soups and pastas and anything else you want. I have cook quite a bit of pasta and lots of soups. It has held up really well. Everything cooks nicely and very evenly nothing sticks to it. More importantly it is a breeze to clean. I have yet to have to let it soak it cleans up fast and easy. I will be looking for more cookware from this brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the two inserts for steaming and straining I love to cook and this pot is really nice. It’s 8 quarts so it can hold a lot. I’ve made soup in it, chicken pot pie filling, and boiled noodles multiple times. It’s been my go-to pot and I find myself reaching for this more often than any of my others. The non stick coating is amazing. I have sautéed vegetables in there and nothing sticks. I love the inserts. I don’t have any pots like this so those were a great addition. The large insert I used while boiling noodles or plain chicken and it’s amazing how nice and easy it is to just lift it and remove the food, straining all the liquid back into the pot. The shorter one is great for steaming vegetables and I am looking forward to steaming tamales with that one. The lid has a durable handle on it, as does the pot. It says it’s dishwasher safe but I find it easier to just hand wash the pot since it’s pretty large and would take up a lot of space in the dishwasher. The inserts along with the lid are stackable, so everything fits perfectly into the pot and can be stored together. My food cooked evenly and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this pot. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pot plus strainers I got the Calphalon Premier Hard-Anodized Nonstick 8-Quart Multi Pot with Lid. and I can honestly say its of very good quality and made to last long time. The Pot is so big and has a good hard anodized nonstick surface to make sure it does last long, The 2 strainers are of stainless steel and are good size and fit inside the pot perfectly. One strainer is for steaming veggies and other foods and the other is to strain the spaghetti. The lid is of thick glass. Only thing I would say as using the items is the stainless steel areas get so hot that you have to be careful and use a towel or ovenmit. Would have been nice to have rubber on them so you didnt get burnt. This pot will make a good portion of soup or to use canning as well. Really worth the buy.

Clean up is a breeze, you can literally wipe it clean with a paper towel! There are just so many uses for this pot and I can't wait to try them all! Absolutely high quality product!

I have only been using wooden utensils although it says it's metal utensils safe. Since the product says that it lasts for over 20 years, I don't have to bother much about peeling and scratching it every day. It's oven safe too and so it's great for moving food from stovetop to oven with no hassles. I will very highly recommend it.

It is so versatile, and I can cook practically anything in it - steaming veggies is a breeze, straining pasta couldn’t be safer and easier, and the main pot is so deep that it can handle a crowd. I have already cooked a pot of stew, a roast, braised chicken, and of course spaghetti. Calphalon is my favorite cookware brand so I have many other pieces but this one replaces several and makes my cooking life a dream. It is impossible to beat the quality or the smooth non-stick surface. I just love it and would recommend it to anyone who loves to cook.

I used the steamer insert to make asparagus and the pasta insert was perfect for my penne. I have been raving about my new " toy" to my friends and family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1-2-3 and done I gotta start by saying this is by far a one of the most versatile and compact cooking pot I’ve had. It’s definitely a multi use cooking device. I can cook pasta and steam vegetables while steaming some fish or shrimp all at the same time. They quality of the pot itself is absolutely sturdy and made of grade a material. It’s very sturdy and lightweight and thick. I love that I can use it for multiple things at once. It eases the cooking time and cleaning time. It’s easy to clean and every easier to store since I don’t have to find a place for all pieces but one simple stackable one. I love that they stack together. Best part is it’s dishwasher safe and none stick. A must have in every kitchen. Definitely would make a great gift for that inner chef in your life.

The colander insert works well, but it would be nice if it had a hanging lip on it to allow draining into the pan. The pan is very light considering the size. I do not plan cooking in this but to only use it to steam and boil noodles, First night I got this I put water in the bottom pot and got it to boil I took the smaller strainer basket and put broccoli in it, did that for 7 mins, I took that off and was able to boil noodles in the bottom once the broccoli was done, easy clean up and its a space saver

This pot is great I can steam vegrtables like corn, broccoli, brussel sprots and more. I can steam my own shrimp, crabs, and more. The pot is also great for cooking stews, chilli, and other foods. It is easy to clean and can be used also in the oven.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So many features This is a great size pot! It is 8 quarts. The pot has 2 inserts along with a lid. I made spaghetti for the first use, cooking the pasta in the pot along with the pasta strainer. The water did still seem to boil over a little bit and burn on the burner but it happens! (Probably had too much water or temp too high) When I wanted to drain it I tried to lift the strainer insert out but the water was boiling too intensely and wanted to overflow under the strainer insert. I turned off the burner for a minute or two and it was good to go. It was so easy to drain the water out without having to use any other tools. However the pasta noodles tried to escape from the holes at the bottom making it a little awkward. Clean up was okay, noodles that were stuck in the bottom of the holes were easier to remove once it soaked in dish water for a few minutes. The clean up of the pot itself was easy! Also includes a steamer insert which I plan on using very soon. Perfect 3 in 1 multi use pot!

It’s truly non-stick which is great and the steaming pots are so helpful to steam multiple items at one time. The design and functions help save cook time down tremendously and it’s so easy to clean. This is high quality product and very durable, I know it’s last a lifetime! I highly recommend this product and Calphalon is always my go to brand for pots and pans!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great This Calphalon Premie Hard-Anodized Nonstick 8-Quart Multi Pot & Lid is great. I put the first strainer in the bottom pot and added water than brought that to a boil. I than added pasta to the boiling water, but wait there's more. I than put the second strainer on and steamed my vegetables while the pasta was cooking. It worked great. Once they were both finished i took everything out and used the main bottom pot to cook my sauce. I really like and would recommend this multi pot it made dinner so easy.

I love that I can just pull the strainer out and not have to transfer to a separate strainer then back to the pot. It cleans super easy as well. Love that it's non-stick.

The steamer and pasta basket are nice an heavy weight and stck in really well. I love the no stick surface, everything comes righ off and it cleans up so easily! I use mostly wood utencils and happy that metalwon't do damage. It will be great to use this in the oven as well! Over all perfect!
