Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy. YES it takes practice! So happy. YES it takes practice cooking in stainless steel. I bought a single pan to practice on because in the past ive used none stick pans but they are toxic and dont last long. It took many trys and a bottle of bar keepers liquid cleaner. You have to cook at a lower temperature especially on a gas stove but even on an electric the most ill cook on is medium heat. Dont forget to heat the pan and then also heat the oil you put in it and coat the whole bottom with the oil. Yes they get discolored sometimes but just put a layer of bar keepers liquid for a few minutes and everything comes off without any scrubbing and they will look shiny as new. Cooking takes patience and using stainless steel takes patience. Just practice and dont just blame the pans. Always google. Read reviews and ask questions. I have not mastered eggs, but ive never made such perfect pancakes as i do in my pan. Cant wait to order a set and continue learning.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stainless steel pots and pans. I thought they would be heavier than they are. I loved my classic calphalon. Had them for many years and wanted a change. I’m not thrilled with the maintenance of the stainless. They are not easy to clean.

However, when my lid broke I should have been able to just buy a lid. Your customer service people blew me off and didn’t respond to my request to purchase another lid

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product My husband and I upgraded to this set from our hodgepodge of cookware and we love it. Cooking with stainless steel does require a little bit more forethought. Letting the food come to room temperature and using metal cooking utensils(and of course a little bit of the cooking oil of your choice) is recommended to keep the food from burning and sticking to the surface. The only food we've gotten "stuck" is cheese,and it came off very easily after putting a little water in the pan,heating it up,and scraping a little with a metal spatula. I highly recommend this set to anyone who has the time and patience to let their food come to room temp before cooking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set but… My set was a gift and i absolutely love using them. The only problem is the pans. Everything sticks to them and you literally have to scrub so hard to get stuff off, then it stains. As it was a gift I am very grateful though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cooking Stains Stains easily even when using cooking oil or butter. And not easy to clean it off so after a single use on a couple of the pans, they already have “staining”. Yes, I looked up how to clean these, in the event they were different from any other stainless steel pans. Slightly frustrated, given these aren’t cheap pans. I have had no issues with my pots - only the pans.

I do recommend though for anyone transitioning over to stainless to read the instructions included and watch a YouTube video on the best cooking practices to get the most out of the pots and pans.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the Calphalon I Thought I Knew The quality I have known in the past from Calphalon just isn't here on this Classic Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set. The edges around the lip of the cookware feel sharp and the finish seems dull, in my opinion. The bottom of all of the cookware isn't seamless like Calphalon products I purchased a year ago. This leaves a channel or groove for oil, grease, and food collect, if not paying attention.

The weight of the pots and pans is sufficient, not too heavy or light compared to others. However pots and pans stained and discolored after one use. They burned the food u was cooking and it stuck to the pan

I guess I should have spent the money on the premium version but I was still annoyed at the amount of finishing oil and scuffs on the pans. Plus, I dishwashed them once right out of the package and there was a rust spot on one of the pans. I’ve returned them.

I chose this particular set because I wanted a set that was as close in design and construction to the older set that I was very satisfied with. I can happily say that this new set did not disappoint. For anyone wanting induction-compatible cookware without breaking the bank, look no further than this set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks beautiful if you don’t use it stained heavily after first use and the recommended solution of baking soda, vinegar and dish soap that customer service advised did not work. I would not recommend to buy this product. I have another stainless steel pan that I’ve used for years that doesn’t have this problem. I wonder what they've done to make their product lower quality but looks nice if you don’t use it.
