Perfect loaf pansI specifically bought these pans to bake pumpkin bread. I make a lot of oumpkin bread because it is a favorite of all friends & family. There is never left overs. These pans were perfect this baking project. I love that they are nonstick and even baking.

Think TwiceI purchased this on 6/17/20 and used it the same day to make a lasagna. I was initially impressed with the weight, and cooking seemed to be fine. However, it was after the use where the problem occurred. The design of this pan is just wrong. The seams of the metal meet up in the inside corners which allows food to get into the area. When you think it has been washed, I saw, in this case, red from the sauce, dripping out of the area as it was drying. In fact, I washed it two more times, and same problem. When I really thought I might have gotten all of the residue out, I used another paper towel with my nail and swiped the sides of the seam, and there was still more trapped. Again, this is a poor design and I have to wonder just how healthy it is in the long run. I tried to attach two photos but they were blocked. I did email Calphalon's customer service and attached pictures. I received a generic reply saying they would be in contact with me. 4 days later, I got another computer generated or generic response asking me for pictures, how it was used for cooking, did I cook frozen or fresh food, what kind of stove top do I have on my oven, and so on and so on...never addressing the issue.

Best loaf pan I have usedAfter doing some research for the best loaf pans, I came across another very popular commercial company that makes aluminzed steel loaf pans. I cam across the calaphalon and decided to try it first. I use the loaf pan for high hydration, sticky sourdough bread and bake it at 425°F with no problems. I can literally just tip the pan sideways and the bread always falls out, regardless if there's burnt on cheese or anything else. I highly recommend and will most likely buy at least a couple more to have on hand for baking multiple loaves at a time.
