3 lbs. green beans, trimmed with strings removed
2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. walnut halves, coarsely chopped
1/2 c. chopped scallions
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. lemon zest
1 tsp. lemon juice
In a 4.5-qt sauce pan, bring 2 qts. water to a roiling boil. Add the green beans.
When the water returns to a boil, cook the green beans for 5 minutes.
Drain water from the beans. Add remaining ingredients. Heat thoroughly and serve immediately.
