Chunky Apple Topping

Ingredient Description:
2 c. apples, peeled and coarsely chopped
2 tsp. lemon juice
4 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar

  1. Combine apples and lemon juice. Preheat a Calphalon 10-in. omelette pan over medium heat.  Add butter and heat.
  2. When butter is bubbling briskly, add apples and seasoning.  Cook 3 - 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Dissolve sugar in water and add to apple mixture.  Cook and stir an additional 5 - 7 minutes or until apples are tender and the liquid is thick and syrupy.
  4. Pour over waffles, pancakes or French Toast and serve.
