In a large mixing bowl, combine the flours, oats, corn meal, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine the milk, yogurt, oil and egg together. Mix well.
Add the liquid mixture to the flour mixture. Stir until thick and smooth.
To prepare topping, place all the ingredients into 1.5- or 2-qt. sauce pan and warm thoroughly.
Preheat a no peek square waffle maker on medium heat.
Using a measuring cup, pour 1 c. of batter into the hot waffle maker and close. The maker will indicate when the waffle is done.
Pour topping over warm waffles and serve.
