In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
In a separate bowl, combine milk, eggs and melted butter.
Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and pour in the egg mixture. Mix until just combined.
Heat a nonstick griddle on medium heat for about 1 minute; when hot reduce heat to low.
Pour about 1/4 c. of batter for each pancake. Cook for about 2 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
Turn over and cook for another 2 minutes. Repeat process until all of batter is used.
Transfer pancakes to warm plates and serve with maple syrup or top with your favorite fruit and chopped nuts.
