1/2 bottle of red or white dry table wine, such as Pinot for red and Sauvignon Blanc for white.
juice of 4 medium limes
1/2 c. fresh-squeezed orange juice
1/2 c. simple syrup*
1/4 c. orange or apple brandy liqueur
1 c. club soda
1 1/2 c. fresh fruit for garnish (diced fresh apple, orange, lemon or lime slices, peach slices)
*Simple syrup - combine equal parts of sugar and water (1 c. each) into a 2.5-qt. sauce pan. Bring to boil and dissolve the sugar. Cool.
