1 pound lean ground beef
1 Burger Mix-in (see below)
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 sandwich buns

Burger Mix-ins:
Jalapeno Popper Burgers – Add 1 seeded and finely diced jalapeno pepper and 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese.

Bacon Cheeseburgers – Add 4 slices cooked and crumbled bacon and 1/2 cup sharp Cheddar cheese.

Greek Burgers – Add 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley and 1/2 cup Garlic and Herb Feta crumbles.

Blue Cheese Burgers – Add 2 tablespoons sliced green onions and 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles.

In a large bowl combine ground beef and desired Burger Mix-in. Do not over-mix. Shape into four patties. Season formed patties with salt and pepper.

Stovetop Instructions:
Preheat a Calphalon grill pan on medium-high heat. After pan is preheated, add patties and cook 4-5 minutes per side until done, or until patties reach an internal temperature of 160°F.

5 in 1 Grill Instructions:
Insert the removable plates onto the Calphalon 5 in 1 Removable Plate grill, choosing the side with the grill grates. Turn the Position Control Knob to “Closed” and turn the Temperature Control Knob to 400°F.  Preheat the grill in the closed position until the Ready light illuminates.

Open the preheated grill and place the patties onto the lower grates. Close the grill and cook for 5 to 6 minutes or until patties reach an internal temperature of 160°F. Remove the patties with a heat resistant nonmetal utensil and place on buns.
