We recently partnered with Amy from Very Culinary, to show us how you can create a sweet, salty, and spooky treat just in time for Halloween. “I laughed when I saw the stores stocking their shelves with Christmas decorations…in August! And yet there I was, shopping for Halloween goodies, still two months away. Guilty as charged! The minute I spotted the slew of candy corns and orange Oreos, my heart soared. I love Halloween. Always have. The creepy, the kooky, the kids in their adorable costumes, front doorsteps adorned with brooms and jack-o’-lanterns, and of course, the candy. THE CANDY!
There are so many great Fall treats out right now to make, and many of them incorporate melted chocolate. Just remember to melt it on low heat in slow increments, so it doesn’t become hard, lumpy, or grainy. If it does, try adding a tiny bit of vegetable shortening at a time to loosen it up again.
