Ian Dowsett — Chef Instructor

Ian Dowsett has over 20 years professional experience in the culinary arts. He holds the Red Seal designation, and is a double graduate from George Brown College of Culinary Arts in Toronto, Ontario as a Culinary Apprentice and as a Retail Meat Cutter.

Ian's Background

Ian's career spans a wide variety of industries, including five-star restaurants, private dining clubs, mobile caterer, nuclear plant and food manufacturing, where he acted as Executive Chef for Recipe Development and Menu Creation.

Ian is the owner of The Chef's Market, located just north of Toronto. The Chef's Market offers Personal Chef Services, Select Catering and Cooking Instruction to both corporate organizations and private individuals in established schools such as George Brown College's Continuing Education Department and The Calphalon Culinary Center.

Ian brings a genuine passion for all things culinary to his lessons and creates an environment where learning is fun, easy and generates success.
